San Diego Wild Animal Park

On Tuesday, we went to the Wild Animal park. It kind of has an African Safari theme. It was really neat, but we didn't get to spend all day exploring.

This is called a Dic Dic. He had a funny mohawk.

This was on the Safari tour. There are the big white rhinos. There heads weigh almost a ton I think.

They also had a giant hot air balloon, but we never got a chance to go up in it.

The lion's favorite place to sleep was on top of the Land Rover.

Here are the gorillas. We got a couple of them fighting on video.

Rich has tiny, tiny hands. :)

...and tiny, tiny feet.

There was a pregnant elephant that gave birth that day. We didn't see it, of course.

That afternoon, we went to the beach. It was still kind of chilly, but it was warm enough that we enjoyed ourselves.

Rich was here!

SeaWorld

On Wednesday, we went to SeaWorld. I have never been, but Rich has, so he was all excited to show me around.

We got to pet the Bat Rays.

From the look on my face, you can tell that they were really gross and slimy feeling.

This was one of the sea otters. It was eating.

We went to see the Dolphin show. We sat up high so I wouldn't get wet. They were really cute.

This one was the Seal's shows. The little sea otter was carrying a can of pepsi.

Here 'mingo, 'mingo, 'mingo.

We also got to hold starfish.

And we went on a backstage tour. We got to pet the dolphins and see them up close. We also got to feed them. One of them had her baby with her, I didn't get a picture, but it was so cute.

Eww, gross. Squid. That's what we fed to the moray eels.

We also got to throw lettuce to the sea turtles. They're endangered so we couldn't get any closer to them.

We saw the Shamu Believe show. Kind of neat. Rich likes the dolphin show better though.

This was a Shamu cookie that we got with lunch.

Shark Encounter. They wouldn't sit still so this is the only good picture I got.

Barbara Manatee. They have several rescued manatees.

Yay for cute penguins.
